So, it is clear that I did something to make the Fire God mad at me. Last night I made soup. I guess I made it hotter than I meant to, because as I sat down on the couch, the bowl touched my chest just above my neckline. My very natural reaction was to yank the hot thing away from my chest, which caused soup to spill all over my hands, which caused me to spill soup all over my lap, which caused me to fling the remainder of the bowl of soup onto the floor, leap up, and start trying to pull off my burning pants. After a few minutes in a cold shower, the only thing that still hurt was my thumb, but it hurt really badly. It's better today, but I didn't sleep very well, and now I just want to know "why." Why am I always burning myself? Is it related to me burning down the apartment? What did I do? And how do I make the Fire God like me again?
(P.S. Thank God for Todd. He cleaned up all the mess, helped me cool my burns, and made me pizza for dinner, which he wouldn't let me touch until it had sufficiently cooled down.)
