Hotlanta? Houston is hotter!

So, I came out to visit my sisters in Houston. It's not a very long visit, unfortunately, but I'm taking off work later in the summer for a family reunion. I don't know if I just feel like they don't really like it when I take vacation, but I always feel guilty. I am getting nearer the point where I start losing vacation if I don't take it, though.

Anyway, my life is so very interesting on a day to day basis, that I bet you are thinking that it must be extra crazy when I am on vacation. Boy are you right. For instance, last night I helped Jenny with her research paper. Jealous!

We did have a fun night on Saturday. We went out to a club and danced and sang Karaoke. Randy and Jamie joined us, too. Randy did a stirring rendition of Kid Rock's song Bawadita or whatever it's called. It left the crowd speechless. Later, all five of us sang "You've too late" by the Jovi. The crowd, who were mostly wearing cowboy hats and two stepping during other Karaoke songs, were very impressed. Good times.

Yesterday, we went to Randy and Jamie's and Greg and Rachelle and kids came out, too, for a good old family cookout. Christy made me some vegetarian ribs, which were good except for when they were a little too much like real meat. Greg told an excellent story about a time when Randy's brains were hanging out of his eye. I'm just kidding about the brains... it was a mysterious yellow substance. Greg put it back in Randy's eye for him, so, you know, he's fine and dandy today.

Well, I have had a lot of fun on my vacation, even if I didn't jump out of a plane or anything, so stop judging me. Tomorrow I go back to my regular life. Tear.
